Welcome to Ratby Primary School
I am very pleased to have the chance to introduce you to our website which will provide an insight into life at Ratby Primary School. The school aims to offer a rich and varied learning experience for all our pupils who are aged from 4 to 11 years. We strive to provide a curriculum which whilst meeting statutory requirements also covers every aspect of a pupil’s development and extends outside the confines of the classroom.
Miss Lisa Aitken (Headteacher)"This is a satisfactory and improving school. It has significant strengths in the good quality of care, guidance and support it provides, which contributes well to pupils’ good personal development. Pupils enjoy coming to school. They attend regularly, feel safe, behave well and treat each other, staff and visitors with kindness and respect. All pupils, including those with a statement of special educational needs, are fully involved in all aspects of school life. They are keen to contribute to their own and the local community and speak proudly of their work on the school council and the eco-committee. The good partnerships the school forges with parents and carers, other schools and outside agencies all help to enrich the curriculum and support pupils’learning." Ofsted 2011
